Can you collect all 6 Digby trail badges?

The Digby Area Recreation Trails Badge Challenge invites you to get outside, explore our beautiful communities, and experience some of the best trails Digby County has to offer.

This self-guided hiking challenge features a collection of local trails that showcase a variety of landscapes, distances, and difficulty levels — from coastal views to peaceful forests and unique natural features. 

Complete the challenge, collect your badges, and celebrate your outdoor adventures along the way!

🌲 Participating Trails

The Digby Area Trails Challenge currently includes:
  • Acacia Valley Trail
  • Gulliver’s Cove Trail
  • Weymouth Storybook Trail
  • Balancing Rock Trail
  • Van Tassel Lake Trail
  • Big Meadow Bog Trail

Each trail offers its own unique experience and highlights the natural beauty found throughout Digby County.

⭐ How to Participate
Joining the challenge is easy:

1. Get your challenge booklet
​

Download a PDF version of the Digby Trails Challenge pamphlet 
—or pick up a printed copy at:
  • Digby Area Recreation Office (27 Shreve St., Digby)
  • Digby County Libraries (Digby, Weymouth, Westport)
  • Local Visitor Information Centre's


2. Choose your trail & start hiking

Visit any of the challenge trails and take photos at the designated challenge points.

3. Submit your photos

  • In person at the Digby Recreation Office (Mon–Fri, office hours) 27 Shreve St, Digby, NS
  • Through the Digby Recreation Facebook page
  • By email: [email protected]
Once your submission is verified, you’ll receive your trail badge!

🏅 Complete the Full Challenge

Earn all six Digby area trail badges and you can apply for the:

Hike Nova Scotia Digby Community Badge.
