ALL TRAILS CLOSED - May 30, 2023 and until further notice
In accordance with Nova Scotia Government’s announcement that all activity in wooded areas is banned, all trails within the Municipality of the District of Digby are closed until further notice.
Please do not enter any woods or trails – this includes the railbed. This includes hiking, fishing, cycling, riding, running and ATVing.
We ask that you keep safety foremost in your mind.
Effective immediately and until further notice.

DIGBY TRAILS CHALLENGE BADGES
Digby Recreation has five Hiking Trail Challenge Badges for you to earn, plus you can earn the Hike Nova Scotia Digby Badge.
The five Digby trails where you can earn a local badge are Acacia Valley, Gulliver's Cove, Weymouth Storybook and Balancing Rock Trails. DARC has put together a variety of distances and effort levels for these challenges. There is something for everyone. If you are unsure how to find any of the trails, check out the Digby Outdoors Map on digbytrails.ca , or reach out to the trails coordinator at jriley@digbymun.ca.
Participation is easy :
1. click here to see and download a PDF version of the Digby Trails Challenge Pamphlet;
- or pick up a printed copy of the challenge pamphlet
3. complete the challenge with photo proof
4. submit your photo to the Digby Recreation Facebook page or email your photos to activeliving.darc@bellaliant.com .
Once DARC has verified your submission, you will be awarded your trail badge.
Then, once you have earned four of the five local Digby badges, you can apply to Hike Nova Scotia for the Hike Nova Scotia Digby Badge. - at any of the Digby area libraries (Digby, Weymouth or Westport).
