Further hiking from Point Prim

The Fundy Erratics hiking club leads annual excursions, usually the third Saturday in September, starting from the Point Prim lighthouse.
About 2.5 km west of the lighthouse on the shore is a white marble monument in memory of the mariners lost in the sinking of the SS Princess Louise in December 1883.
There is no trail on the shore, no signage and the natural surface is rough, uneven and slippery.
There is no cell service on the shore of the Bay of Fundy here and hiking requires extensive outdoor experience, knowledge of the tidal range, and a certain degree of physical fitness - the 5-km return trip will feel more like 10 because of the clambering on and over rocks.
For more information, watch for, or ask about, the Fundy Erratics' next hike to the Princess Louise monument on the Fundy Erratics Facebook group.
